• The Beacon’s The Poem this month welcomes back a new selection from poetry editor Billy Hands: Three Bits and Pieces. We’re accepting poetry submissions at poetry@eastendbeacon.com.
• Southampton Town’s Opioid Advisory Task Force will present a draft of its report about what to do about the opioid crisis at this morning’s work session at 11 a.m. at town hall.
• The Riverhead Town Board will hear a presentation from the town’s anti-litter committee, hear an update on a municipal garage and discuss a proposed cross-access road in Wading River at their 10 a.m. work session this morning. Their full agenda is online here.
