Lilah Gosman, a Montauk native who has worked in New York City as a musician and educator, and her husband, Miloš Repický, a pianist and conductor with the Metropolitan Opera, have taken over the reigns heading Music for Montauk, which grew out of the Montauk Chamber Music Society founded in 1983 by Bill Akin.

This coming week, they’re planning their first ever Summer Series, a series of concerts ranging from a family-friendly rendition of Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals to tango, classical guitar, and an evening of American selections.

The series kicks off Tuesday night, with pop-up kick-off concerts around town with surprise performers, and two free concerts will be held under a festival tent at Third House on Thursday and Saturday.
