Down Under the Route 105 Overpass

Good Morning!

• This morning’s snow and sleet forecast accumulation numbers have been changing throughout the past few hours, but were set at two to four inches of snow topped with about a tenth an inch of ice. Numerous East End school districts are planning delays this morning, and Riverhead just announced the entire district will be closed. The Beacon will update our Facebook page with more information as it becomes available.

• Coretta: Promise To The Dream, a new  play by Tina Andrews, opens at the Southampton Cultural Center this Friday. The play chronicles the life of Coretta Scott King, widow of slain civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, and her struggle to continue his aream after his assassination. More information is online here.• A crowd turned out yesterday to support Bobby Hartmann’s planned recovery house across from Riverhead Town Hall. The full story is here.

• The Beacon’s wish list of acts we wish were playing at Winterfest is live here.

• If you’d rather see who’s really playing in the six-week music series, which begins Saturday, that information is live on the vine here.
