Good Morning!

• We’re expecting sunny skies today, with a high temperature near 43 degrees and a southwest wind 9 to 11 miles per hour. It will be mostly clear overnight, with a steady temperature around 39 degrees. Wednesday will be sunny, with a high near 43, and Thursday will be sunny, with a high near 38.

• The Southampton Town Board will hold public hearings at its 1 p.m. meeting this afternoon on the town’s Climate Action Plan, and on an environmental impact statement for its proposed sewer plant and district in RiversideHere’s the agenda, and the meeting can be viewed live here.

• The Shelter Island Town Board is also expected to hold numerous public hearings at its 6 p.m. meeting this evening on extending a moratorium on processing of permits for large homes, on a proposed moratorium on dock permits and on the creation of a Shellfish Permit Review Board. Here’s the agenda, and here’s Zoom and video information on the meeting.

• The Riverhead Town will hold a public workshop on its Comprehensive Plan Update tomorrow, Wednesday, Dec. 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the new Town Hall at 4 West Second Street. Here’s more info.

• The New Suffolk Common School District meets tomorrow night, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. Expect more discussion about the potential of transitioning the school to a non-instructional school district.

• Guild Hall in East Hampton hosts a Creative Lab with exhibition artist Mary Boochever this evening at 6 p.m. In developing her own color language, Boochever has explored sources as diverse as Kabala and Goethe’s Color Theory. The Lab will include a tour of her current exhibition and an exploration of practice through introductory Tai chi/Qi Gong movements and a collective color knowledge experience. More details are at
