• Today will be cooler than yesterday’s balmy Sunday weather, but spring-like temperatures are in store for this week. We’re expecting sunny skies today, with a high near 43 but wind chill values between 20 and 30 with a northwest wind 13 to 16 miles per hour. Tonight will be clear, with a low around 23. Tuesday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 41 and Wednesday will be partly sunny, with a high near 52.
• OLA of Eastern Long Island will hold a community forum on immigration and civil rights tomorrow, Feb. 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bridgehampton’s Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Church at 2350 Montauk Highway. All are welcome to attend. RSVP at 631.899.3441.
• The Long Island Progressive Coalition will host a Health Care Town Hall for the First Congressional District next Thursday, Feb. 23 at 6:30 p.m. at Riverhead’s First Baptist Church at 1018 Northville Turnpike. All are invited to attend. More details are online here.
• The North Fork Environmental Council has announced the second in its new monthly Speaker Series lectures, to be held this coming Saturday, Feb. 25 at 1 p.m. at the Peconic Lane Community Center. Beth Fiteni of “Green Inside and Out” will discuss ways to reduce harmful toxins in our homes and businesses. All are invited to attend.
