Good Morning!

• Today will be mostly sunny, with a high near 57 degrees and a west wind 10 to 14 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 24. Tonight will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 38. Tuesday will be partly sunny, with a high near 56 and Wednesday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 59.

•Effective last Thursday, May 4, the New York State Department of Conservation has issued a temporary ban on the harvesting of shellfish and carnivorous gastropods in western Shinnecock Bay and the harvesting of carnivorous gastropods in Deep Hole Creek, Halls Creek and a section of Great Peconic Bay in the Town of Southold is also temporarily banned. • We’ve recently heard from Mary Beth Greiner, a volunteer with Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense, about our coverage of Lee Zeldin and gun issues. Read her letter to the editor online here.
