• The Greenport Village Board of Trustees holds a special meeting at the Old Schoolhouse on the corner of Front and Third Streets this afternoon at 4 p.m. to discuss community housing issues. Here’s the agenda. The public is welcome to attend.

• The Southampton Town Board will meet in its capacity as the Commissioners of the Hampton Bays Water District this morning at 10 a.m., followed by a work session at which they’ll discuss a change of zone request from 60-71 Woodbine, LLC at 2036 County Road 39. • The Riverhead Town Board will discuss a special permit request for portable trailers at the Riverhead Charter School’s high school on Sound Avenue at its 10 a.m. work session this morning. Here’s the agenda, and the meeting can be viewed live here.

• The First Universalist Church of Southold holds a spring gala tomorrow evening at 6 p.m. at Townsend Manor in Greenport to raise funds for the final phase of construction for their new church. Tickets are available online here.

• Peconic Baykeeper, the New Suffolk Waterfront Fund, and Surfrider Foundation Eastern Long Island Chapter will host a day of water quality education and appreciation at the Baykeeper’s annual Day for the Bay this Saturday, May 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the New Suffolk Waterfront.
