Thursday will be sunny, with a high near 79, and Friday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 79 and a chance of afternoon showers and evening thunderstorms.

• We’re in the midst of a blood shortage emergency, and the Riverhead Fire Department at 540 Roanoke Avenue is hosting a New York Blood Center blood drive to help meet the need today from 1 to 7 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments can also be made online here.

• The Sag Harbor Village Planning Board holds a Special Meeting this evening at 5 p.m. to discuss developer Adam Potter’s controversial application for a mixed use building known as “11 Bridge Street.” Here’s the Zoom login info.
