Good Morning!

• There’s a 30 percent  chance of showers today, with thunderstorms possible between noon and 2 p.m., but otherwise it will be cloudy, with a high near 78. degrees and a southeast wind 5 to 9 mph. Tonight will be partly cloudy, with a low around 67. Wednesday will be sunny, with a high near 87, and Thursday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 80.

• New York State has awarded ELIH’s Quannacut rehabilitation services with a $1.6 million grant to significantly expand its outpatient services in Riverhead, adding a women’s sober house and mental health and primary care services. The Beacon’s full story is online here.

• The East Hampton Town Board will discuss a special historic landmark designation program, a DEC request to use town lands for  monitoring and a request for a sanitary easement at their 10 a.m. work session this morning. Their full agenda is online here.
 
• The Shelter Island Town Board will discuss a manager for the FIT Center, a bulkhead on Taylor’s Island, short term rental legislation and conservation tools and wetland permits at their 1 p.m. work session this afternoon. Their full agenda is online here.
