• Skies will clear throughout the day today, with a high temperature near 84 degrees and a northwest wind 10 to 13 miles per hour. It will be clear overnight, with a low around 58. Friday will be sunny, with a high near 83, and Saturday will be sunny, with a high near 80.

• An eBay auction to benefit the Sag Harbor Cinema Arts Center went live on Aug. 28 and will end on Sept. 4, with a village-wide party on “Tumbleweed Tuesday”, Sept. 3. More details are online here.

• The Riverhead Town Board will discuss garbage issues downtown, trailers at the town dump and refunding of bonds at their 10 a.m. work session this morning. Their full agenda is online here. The Southampton Town Board’s work session for today has been cancelled.

• The Parrish Art Museum hosts a talk about Helen Frankenthaler by Avis Berman, a writer, curator, and historian of American art, architecture, and culture, this evening at 5 p.m. The program is free for members and $12 for non-members. More details are online here.

• The Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center hosts a Barking Beauty dog beauty pageant this evening at 6 p.m. Tickets range from $60 to $75 and proceeds benefit RSVP Animal Rescue and the PAC’s Children’s Academy. More details are online here.

• Rock ‘n roll band PM Overdrive performs at the last concert of the season this evening in Good Ground Park, 9A Squiretown Road, Hampton Bays from 7 to 9 p.m. All are welcome, and there is no admission charge.

• The band Mames Babegenush, which performs Eastern European ecstasy mashed up against Nordic funk, will perform this evening at 8 p.m. at Guild Hall in East Hampton. Tickets range from $25 to $75.
