Good Morning, and Happy Tumbleweed Tuesday!

• Summer is not over. We’re expecting mostly sunny skies today, with a high temperature near 85 degrees and a calm wind becoming west around 6 miles per hour in the afternoon. It will be partly cloudy overnight, with a low around 67. Wednesday will be sunny, with a high near 87, and Thursday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 86.

• The East End Seaport Museum is always on the lookout for how its Annual Maritime Festival can build on the celebration of traditions that have made Greenport a nautical landmark on the East End. This year’s festival, to be held the weekend of Sept. 22 through Sept. 24, is throwing down a new gauntlet to the community with its first ever Cardboard Boat Regatta. • The public hearing on the Village of Greenport’s proposed code changes will continue at a special village board meeting this evening, Sept. 5 at 6 p.m. at the Third Street Firehouse.

• LongHouse Reserve in East Hampton is hosting a Tumbleweed Tuesday open house this evening from 5 to 7 p.m., where members of the public can visit their gardens free of charge Reservations are encouraged but walk-ins are welcome. Here’s more info.

• The Lynn Blue Band rocks Sag Harbor’s Marine Park in a special free Tumbleweed Tuesday concert, with food trucks, this evening at 6 p.m. to celebrate the 60th anniversary of homegrown radio station WLNG (92.1 on the FM dial).
