Springs Budget Vote

The Springs School is asking voters to approve a $26.6 million budget for next year, up 4.9 percent.

The tax levy increase will be 3.18, but the proposed budget does not pierce the property tax cap because several items that are exempt from tax levy calculations are included in the budget. Due to increasing enrollment, the district plans to add nearly 8 full-time staff positions next year.

School Board members Elizabeth Mendelman and Timothy Frazier are running unopposed.

Voting will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. in the Springs School Library. The district’s budget newsletter is available online here.
