Good Morning, and Happy New Year!

• Today will be sunny, with a high near 35 degrees but wind chill values between 20 and 30, with a north wind 5 to 9 miles per hour, becoming calm in the afternoon. There’s a 30 percent chance of snow before 1 a.m. tonight, changing to rain with a temperature rising to around 36 by 4 a.m. There’s a 40 percent chance of rain and snow before 8 a.m. Thursday, changing to rain between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Friday will be sunny, with a high near 46.

• Today is the last day to submit comments to the Federal Aviation Administration about the continuance of the North Shore Helicopter Route. Comments are being accepted online here.

• The Riverhead Town Board will discuss a proposed development on Middle Road and resolutions for their 2 p.m. meeting tomorrow at their 10 a.m. work session this morning.
