Good Morning!

• We’re expecting increasing clouds throughout the day today, with a high near 36 degrees and wind chill values between 15 and 25, with a west wind 13 to 20 miles per hour. Snow is likely overnight, mainly after midnight, with a low around 22 and snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. Snow is expected to continue into Friday through 11 a.m., with up to an inch of additional snow possible. There’s a 30 percent chance of afternoon snow Saturday, but otherwise it will be partly sunny, with a high near 30.

• The Riverhead Town Board will discuss the Peconic Care Project drug rehab proposed for EPCAL, the controversial proposed Verizon tower at Woodside Orchards in Aquebogue, a special permit for North Fork Auto Body and committee assignments at their 10 a.m. work session this morning. • The Southampton Town Board will review the draft agenda for their Jan. 10 meeting at their 10 a.m. work session this morning. Their full agenda is online here.

• The Southampton Town Board is holding a special meeting to hold a public hearing on a draft environmental impact statement for The Hills at East Quogue Planned Development District at the East Quogue Elementary School at 6 Central Avenue on Jan. 10 at 6 p.m. 

• Canio’s Books in Sag Harbor is offering a three-part master class with Canio’s founder Canio Pavone on Dante’s “Paradiso”, beginning next Monday, Jan. 9 at 10 a.m. More details are online here. [$125]

• The East Marion Community Association’s annual fundraiser is next Saturday, Jan. 14 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Rocky Point Lifesaving Station in East Marion. Tickets are $40 in advance or $50 at the door. More details and tickets are available online here.
