Good Morning!

• Today will be partly sunny, with a high near 71 degrees and a northeast wind 6 to 11 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 21 miles per hour. We’re expecting showers overnight, with a low temperature around 54 and a northeast wing 13 to 17, gusting to 31. Thursday will be partly sunny, with a high near 65, and Friday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 66.

• The North Fork Community Theater is embarking on a bold new theatrical experiment this Thursday, Oct. 12, producing “Young Frankenstein (The Musical)” in black-and-white. See our photo preview online here.

• The Butterfly Effect Project and Riverside Rediscovered are hosting a workshop in Riverside this Thursday, Oct. 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. on helping people with criminal convictions work to clean up their records to help them find employment. More details are online here.

• Debate season is now upon us. Tomorrow evening, East Hampton Town candidates face off in CCOM’s annual environmental forum, which will be held this year at Scoville Hall in Amagansett from 5 to 7 p.m. The Southampton Press will also host a debate for Southampton Town candidates tomorrow evening at 7 p.m. at the Southampton Arts Center. The East Marion Community Association and the Orient Association will host a forum for Southold Town candidates this Saturday, Oct. 14 at 10 a.m. at Poquatuck Hall in Orient. 

• Consumer packaged goods veteran Anna Kotler discusses basics of business management and consumer marketing for nascent food companies at the second installment in a new series titled Foodie Fridays, this Friday, Oct. 13 at 2 p.m. at the Stony Brook Calverton Incubator.
