• Riverhead Community Awareness Program has been awarded a federal five-year Mental Health Awareness Training Grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, providing $125,000 per year for CAP to coordinate Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid Training to individuals and organizations in Riverhead and the surrounding communities. • The East Quogue Fire Department at 465 Montauk Highway, East Quogue will host a New York Blood Center blood drive this afternoon and evening from 2 to 8 p.m. Appointments are recommended and can be made online here.

Suffolk County reported 96 new cases of Covid-19 on Saturday, March 19, with 1.7 percent of people tested testing positive. There were 61 people hospitalized with the virus in the county, with nine of them in ICU> The county reported no new fatalities from the virus on Saturday, and the death toll stands at 4,357 people since March of 2020.
