• The North Fork Animal Welfare League is looking for a new seasonal employee to work from mid-May through the end of September. Their new team member will be supervising summer off-site adoption events as well as covering animal care at the shelter when needed. The position requires a love of both animals and people and great flexibility in scheduling. Please call Gillian at 631.765.1811 for details.

• Paddlers for Humanity raised $15,000 at the Montauk Brewathon two weeks ago, which they’re giving to The Retreat for programs directly impacting the lives of kids. Retreat staff members brought three teams and lots of spirit to the event.
• The Riverhead Town Board will discuss a feasibility plan for the old armory building on Route 58 at their 10 a.m. work session today, as well as recreation programs and alarm code fees. Their full agenda is online here.
