Voters in Hampton Bays will be asked to approve a $48.2 million budget on May 20, up $1.1 million, or 2.3 percent, from last year. The tax levy is expected to increase 1.3 percent and the tax rate is expected to increase 1.3 percent.
If the budget is approved, taxpayers will pay $13.06 per $1,000 of assessed valuation, up from $12.79 this school year.
School Board member Dorothy Capuano is running unopposed.
Voting will take place from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the middle school gym on Ponquogue Avenue.
