Northeast Stage will hold a Benefit Performance in Greenport on Feb. 10 for local actor Kevin Monsell, a beloved member of the North Fork theatre community who was recently diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor.

The benefit, to be held at Holy Trinity Church Hall, 768 Main Street, Greenport at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10, will feature the best actors, musicians, and singers the East End has to offer and include raffles and a Chinese auction.

Kevin has appeared in numerous plays throughout Long Island, most recently with Northeast Stage and North Fork Community Theatre.  All proceeds will go to assist him with his treatment expenses and medical bills.

Doctors found Kevin’s brain tumor after a CAT scan performed after he was in a car accident Nov. 22, 2017. It is about the size of a plum, says his wife, Cathy, on a GoFundMe page set up to help Kevin with his medical expenses, and is inoperable. Kevin, who is the sole supporter of his wife, was slated to begin chemotherapy and radiation in mid-January.

Tickets are $20 per person at the door.  Any donations are greatly appreciated. Auction items can be dropped off at Port of Egypt Marine in Southold.
