The Southampton School District is putting up a $62.2 million budget before voters on May 20, up .57 percent from last year. If approved, the tax levy is expected to increase by 1 percent. If the budget is approved, voters will pay $2.41 per $1,000 of assessed valuation, down from $2.42 this year, a decrease of .4 percent.
School Board President Heather McCallion is running unopposed.
Voting will take place in the Southampton Intermediate School Music Room from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The district’s budget statement is available online here.
