The Southold Town Housing Advisory Committee is hosting an open house titled “Housing In Our Town” on Saturday, Feb. 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Peconic Landing Community Center at 1500 Brecknock Road in Greenport.

The event is designed to help residents “discover potential housing opportunities in Southold Town,” and is aimed at renters, first-time homebuyers, homeowners who want to add an apartment to their house or garage and builders and developers interested in affordable housing.

Organizations that are participating in the forum include the Community Development Corporation of Long Island; Conifer Development, which is building the new Vineyard Views project in Greenport; Community Housing Innovations, Bridgehampton National Bank’s First Home Club, Suffolk County’s Office of Community Development, the North Fork Housing Alliance and Southold Town’s Housing Registry and Planning offices.
