Good Morning!
• We’re expecting increasing clouds today, with a high near 49 degrees and a southwest wind 7 to 15 miles per hour. Tonight will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 38. There’s a 40 percent chance of light rain Tuesday, mainly after 11 a.m. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 55. We’re expecting a chance of early morning rain Wednesday, followed by areas of fog and a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon. Wind will be out of the southwest at 9 to 17 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 31.
• The Mattituck-Laurel Civic Association will hold a panel discussion titled “All Things Water” at their next meeting this evening, Feb. 27 at 6:30 p.m. at the Mattituck American Legion Hall. All are welcome to attend. More details are online here.
• The Suffolk County Legislature will hold this coming week’s committee meetings in the Maxine Postal Legislative Auditorium at the Suffolk County Center in Riverside. More details are online here.
• Guild Hall in East Hampton presents Carlos Lama’s “Brave Songs From The Departed,” an evening of protest music of notable musicians who died in 2016, tomorrow evening, Feb. 28 at 7:30 p.m. More details are online here.
•Organización Latino-Americana of Eastern Long Island is hosting a Pachanga por Paz y Unidad (A Party for Peace and Unity) to raise money for their work, featuring 28 local musical artists, on March 11 at Bay Street Theatre in Sag Harbor. Tickets are $20 and are available online here.
