• We’re expecting partly sunny skies today, with a high temperature near 47 and a north wind 5 to 10 miles per hour, increasing to 13 to 18 mph in the afternoon. It will be mostly clear overnight, with a low around 25. We’re expecting increasing clouds on Tuesday, with a high near 42, and mostly sunny skies on Wednesday, with a high near 47.
• Riverhead Town Supervisor Yvette Aguiar, a Republican, announced Friday evening, Feb. 3 that she will not seek a third term as Supervisor. Councilman Tim Hubbard told the website riverheadlocal.com soon after that he has screened with the town GOP for her position. Riverhead Democrats are looking to screen candidates and are asking anyone interested to email RiverheadTownDemocrats@gmail.com. Here’s more info.
