Good Morning!
• We’re expecting showers this morning, mainly before 11 a.m., with the temperature falling to around 46 degrees by 11 a.m. and a north wind 10 to 14 miles per hour. It will be mostly cloudy overnight, with a low around 28. Saturday will be mostly sunny, with a high naer 40, and Sunday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 46.
• We received several letters from neighbors of a proposed chicken farm on Ackerly Pond Lane in Southold, which is currently before the Southold Town Planning Board for review of a barn on the property, which would be placed near Jasmine Lane. Read Them Here. We love letters! Send them to editor@eastendbeacon.com with “LTE” in the subject line.
It’s going to be a busy weekend! Let’s get right into it:
• The No Kings movement, which began in June of 2025 as a series of rallies across the country coinciding with a military parade held on President Donald Trump’s birthday, is rallying across the country for the third time tomorrow, Saturday, March 28. Local organizers are holding No Kings 3 events on the East End in Riverhead, Hampton Bays, Greenport, Sag Harbor and East Hampton. Get The Details.
