Good Morning!

• We’re expecting mostly sunny skies today, with a high temperature near 76 degrees and a light west wind, increasing to 9 to 14 miles per hour. It will be mostly clear overnight, with a low around 59. Friday will be sunny, with a high near 78, and Saturday will be sunny, with a high near 82.

• The Riverhead Town Board unanimously voted Wednesday evening to postpone a vote to adopt its Comprehensive Plan Update to its Sept. 4 meeting. Find Out More.

• The Southampton Town Board will discuss issues with the gabion retaining walls at Tiana Bayside and hear an update on the town’s Head Start and Children’s Museum of the East End buildings in Riverside at its 10 a.m. work session this morning. Here’s the agenda, and the meeting can be viewed live on Sea-TV’s website.

• The Greenport Village Board is slated to hold a public hearing at its 6 p.m. meeting this evening on adding definitions to the village code regarding obscene and disorderly conduct. The agenda will be posted here, and the meeting can be viewed live here.

• The Riverhead Cider House at 2711 Sound Avenue in Riverhead hosts a New York Blood Center blood drive this afternoon and evening from 1 to 7 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments can also be made online here.

Wood Vibrations performs this evening at 6 p.m. at Good Ground Park in Hampton Bays, while Southbound performs this evening at 7 p.m. in Riverhead’s Town Square

• The Sag Harbor Women’s Sailing Conference, to be held next Monday, Aug. 26 at Breakwater Yacht Club in Sag Harbor, will offer an opportunity to hear firsthand experiences and insights from highly decorated female sailors. All are welcome to attend. Find Out More.
