• We’re expecting increasing clouds throughout the day today, with a high temperature near 36 degrees but wind chill values between zero and 10., with a southwest wind 5 to 9 miles per hour. There’s a . 20 percent chance of light snow tonight, with a low around 26. Saturday will be sunny, with a high near 44. We’re expecting rain on Sunday, mainly before 3 p.m., with a high near 48.

• The fifth annual Long Island Regional Seed Consortium Seed Swap, billed by some as the “Woodstock” for seed savers, will be held this Sunday, March 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Suffolk County Community College’s Eastern Campus in Riverhead. More details are online here.
